Stand Up for Free Speech: Protect First Amendment Rights of Video Games

Last June the Supreme Court ruled that California's strict and unnecessary attempt to regulate the sale and content of computer and video games was unconstitutional.

The decision was a huge victory for game players, developers, parents, and everyone who values free speech and creative expression. After all, if the attack on video games succeeded, what is there to stop legislators from going after other forms of entertainment such as movies, books and music?

This ruling was a vital step in acknowledging video games as a protected form of expression, upholding free speech, and defending our individual rights to make our own choices, but we can't back down now.

Our legislators need to know that we stand behind this ruling and won't accept any attempts to take away our constitutional rights.

Stand with the Video Game Voters Network to make our voices heard this election: Pledge that this November, your vote will go to candidates willing to step up and protect free speech.
