Terminally-Ill Nevadans Do Not Have Time to Wait: Pass A.B. 351

Faced with a terminal diagnosis, Nevada residents deserve the full range of options for care at the end of life, including medical aid in dying. Medical aid in dying allows terminally ill adults to get a prescription they can take to end their life peacefully.

The Nevada End of Life Options Act (A.B. 351) was introduced this legislative session, and its passage is being stalled in committee. We need your help to make sure the legislature knows how important this choice is to every Nevada resident.

The majority of Nevadans (72%) believe that they should have the full range of choices at the end of life, including medical aid in dying. This compassionate end-of-life care option would allow terminally ill, mentally capable adults to request medication to peacefully end their suffering if it becomes unbearable.

The COVID-19 pandemic has magnified the systemic racial disparities in our healthcare systems. Authorizing medical aid in dying as an end-of-life care option for qualified Nevadans is one small, but important step towards eradicating these disparities.

Passage and enactment of A.B. 351 would empower all Nevadans to make end-of-life care decisions based on their unique cultures, beliefs, and spiritual values, and ensure everyone has equal access to the full range of end-of-life care options.

Terminally-ill Nevadans do not have time to wait. A.B. 351 must pass this legislative session.
