Hidradenitis is to recognized as a disability

Hi, i to have this affliction for 26 years. I wanted you all to know that this is recognized as a disabling disease and if it is bad enough you can get ssi as i did. Ive ended up on Remicade infusions for a year and it does not work. At the present it is mostly in my right armpit, and it is the most horrific pain and i get fungal infections there, "unreal" I had surgery there 3 1/2 years ago and it never healed! In fact, it made it worse than ever! The odor is "horrid"! I am afraid to have surgery there again. The depression that this disease causes is unreal! I think this disease is totally taken for granted in that i dont think people realize what impact it has on ones life! I agree, in this day and age, with all the new medical technology, you'de think they would study this more and actually find the "cause"! This has ruined my life, i am now 52 and it has taken all the joy from my life! I simply do not understand! Anyone want a photo, let me know! I'll share! God bless all and Merry Christmas
