Map the Meal Gap: Help Meet the Need in Your Community

More than 50 million Americans struggle with food insecurity each year. And nearly 1/3 of Americans facing hunger right now may be ineligible for federally-funded nutrition assistance programs. In difficult economic times like these, it is easy to see why more Americans than ever need help.

Feeding America recently released a landmark study called Map the Meal Gap. This study is the first ever analysis of the number of individuals at risk of hunger at a county level. It also gives a better sense of the food budget shortfall affecting the food insecure.

We must help reach those in need.
