A car is a car - a sign will not save a child - take a child car seat in taxis!

You have a newborn - and you're taking him or her home from the hospital. You have no vehicle - so you're taking them home in a taxi. Would you take them without an infant car seat? Did you know you legally can? Maybe not home from the hospital... but the next day, from your house, to the mall, sure! Seem right to you? A week, a month, a year old... it's legal as long as it's a taxi cab! Would you bring your 12 month old in your van without an infant or 5pt harness eat, your 6 year old in your car without a booster or 5pt harness seat, or your 2 or 3 year old? You can, legally, in a taxi cab! Why is it that a taxi cab, just due to being public transportation, is suddenly safer for children to ride in? Truth is, it's no different then your car in your driveway! It's not going to save your child in the event of a crash, just because there is a fee and a sign on the top.
