As the originator of this petition i feel that it is necessary that i express my view clearly at the beginning.
I am not a wildlife conservationist, or a vegan, or a member of greenpeace. I am simply a man that believes in the sciences, and a man that has a realistic view of our planet, and what it deserves from us.
I strongly oppose government intervention or circumvention in almost every scenario. But this petition might convince some that i would happily approve imminent domain, i most certainly do not.
We live on a very remote location in a dusty star system called the "milky way", we do not have an immediate solution for terra-forming mars, or any other planet in the Sol System.
Since we do not have a plethora of options here in this remote corner of the known universe, i suggest that the federal governments, starting with the United States, Demand from Energy industries the patents purchased and silenced from great engineers that can drastically change the way we commute, power our homes, conduct large scale mass production, etc.
There is already technology that is usable, and in this situation i feel that the greed of a few men is becoming detrimental to humanity itself. Buying out a technology of an engine that runs on water so that you can sell more pollutant, less efficient vehicles is a mortal sin if you believe in such things.
It WILL ultimately be up to the government to do this, because despite all the "environmentally friendly" ads these monster industries have been shoveling down our throats, there is still a major problem.
I personally believe that the earth can take much more than we are dishing out, but why should we? when we have the technology? we need to literally steal it from these evil men who are trying to die richer who could care less about the future of Earth.
