Stop export of riotgear to oppressive regimes

At the same time as heads of state and foreign ministers of the western democracies word support for peoples demand for democracy in the middle east, and ask the regimes to allow peaceful demonstrations without use of excessive force, it is disturbing that the very same western democracies allow export of law enforcement equipment to the very same regimes.
The words of support and demands for restraint loose their meaning, when the demonstrators in Tunisia, Egypt, Bahrain, Yemen, Libya etc etc can read "made in USA", "made in France" "made in UK" on the tear gas canisters, especially when the equipment isn't used with the required precautions. see
