Unfair Electic Charges

Manor of the Woodlands Residents have been charged excessive charges for electric service. The charges the residents residing at the Manor of the Woodlands has been charged above and beyond compared to residents in the community utilizing the same home square footage. The residents have on numerous occasions has asked for resolutions or explanations from the City of Fairfield and from the property owners at Cohen Esrey. The electric company has said this has been an ongoing issue since the homes were built and could offer no logical explanation except to continue to pay the bill. When addressed with Cohen Esrey management office they have been give the go ahead to have home insulated but refuse to pay professionals to do the installation and repeated request that it be done by its maintenance personnel who has no knowledge or experience in the field. Therefore, the residents whom signature appears on this petition has no other alternatives but to seek further assistance and restitution from City of Fairfield, Cohen Esrey, or a combination of both parties. We are also aware that the City of Fairfield has been paid federal funding through Wadi or LHEP, which is the biggest payee of electric services. We will be forwarding a copy of this petition to the State of Illinois for further investigation as another means of assistance to resolve this situation.
