Stop Rental Increase and Stop Landlords from charging a Month to Month Fee

I have been living in this Apartment for 6 1/2 years and every six months rent is increased, now I am fancing another increase in rent, and at the beginning of 03/01/13 without signing a new lease rent will be 1095 plus 100.00 (Month to Month Fee) which will equal 1195.00 for a small two bedroom and one bath with 2 kids and 1 adult. I just feel like standing up and saying enough is a enough, and you wonder why Anchorage has the highest population of Homeless people
