SAVE CANVEY LAKE

Canvey Lake has for many years been totally neglected by both Canvey Island Town Council and Castle Point Borough Council. IT is now a toxic pit, unfit for for fish, birds, all other wildlife and even Humans. It is and is required to be a central amenity and should be restored to its former environmentally friendly condition, able to be used again as a fishing/recreational facility, in addition to being restored as an essential part of the removal of excess surface water.

We the residents of Canvey Island, being the largest part of Castle Point Borough, call for the CPBC to urgently fund the dredging, bank erosion, toxic content and all dangers from disease to fish, animals, birds and humans.
