Move turtles out of oil danger!

The turtles are endangered by us taking over the beaches, by all the plastic we through away that end up in the ocean, habitat destruction, chinese medicine and so on.  The latest threat is the oil disaster and it can be the end for some species. There are bets going on if they are going to go extinct because of the oil! Most of the turtles are being found dead so washing them is not an alternative. 
We need to take the threat seriously and capture and move grown up turtles out of this area.  When the babyturtles are born they should be taken to a good sanctuary and being held in a way that makes sure that they all survive. When the threat is over we can let them all out in the ocean again.
Turtles often represent Mother Earth in indigenous cultures. Please help me influense the government to take the matter seriously enough so that the steps that are needed to be taken actually are taken....
