A Facebook spokesperson recently confirmed to media that Facebook helped to underwrite this year's Conservative Political Action Conference, a prominent conservative gathering that happens annually featuring big right-wing names and organizations.
Facebook reportedly contributed $62,500 to CPAC 2017 - plus facilitated training sessions and lounge areas at the conference.
Facebook claims to be nonpartisan, but actions like this are anything but. If Facebook wants to be "a platform for people and perspectives from across the political spectrum," as a spokesperson said last year, it needs to refrain from bolstering ANY sides with financial donations.
Tell Facebook to live up to its dedication towards social responsibility and commit to not funding CPAC - or any partisan organization - in the future.
