PLEASE HELP US KEEP STRAY DOGS ALIVE

Anthony Siva Balan Thanasayan is a Petaling Jaya Cith Hall councilor who wants stray dogs to be euthanized. He also protects the the municipal councils in the state whenever animal welfare groups expose their cruelty against stray dogs. He has also attempted on many occasions to throw in the spanner into our hard work of exposing these councils as well as initiating the Trap-Neuter-Release-Manage programme. He strongly propagates euthanasia of stray dogs and puppies which we are trying to overturn. Having him reappointed as a councilor is akin to signing death warrants for the strays in the state of Selangor. We are providing a sample note and several email addresses - please copy and paste the note and send them to the email addresses provided. We thank you from the very bottom of our hearts and will be eternally grateful for your help.

We urge the Selangor state government to initiate the necessary measures to prevent Anthony Siva Balan Thanasayan from being reappointed as Petaling Jaya City Hall councilor.

Our main purpose of wanting to stop his appointment is to prevent his destructive interference in canine welfare issues and activities being addressed by various animal welfare groups.

We also find it disturbing that Anthony Siva Balan Thanasayan is shielding the exposure of atrocities against dogs carried at local council pounds.

Canine welfare project Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better (MDDB) had evidence to support this claim.

We find this contradictory of the Selangor Pakatan Rakyat government’s promise of transparency and accountability.

We also do not understand why Anthony Siva Balan Thanasayan is wrongfully projecting an image that he is the spokesman for the Selangor state government by announcing the proposed RM5 mil centralized pound project.

As far as we know, the Mentri Besar himself or a senior official of the state government should be the ones announcing such a huge project.

As taxpayers, we demand to know why Anthony Siva Balan Thanasayan was given the green light to make the announcement and who had endorsed him as the person representing the state government in making the announcement.

Appointing Anthony Siva Balan Thanasayan for another term will also render Pakatan Rakyat’s claim to a system devoid of cronyism, nepotism and favoritism redundant.

A petition has been signed against him and its link attached here for your perusal.
