Save China's daughters, stop the one-child policy!

The one-child policy in China has led to the discrimination of females. Sons care for their parents as they age. Consequently, parents want a son. Girls have been abandoned by the millions since the institution of the one-child policy in 1980.

The policy has also been the cause of gender selective abortions, forced abortions and infanticide. Some mothers have died due to a forced abortion. Many are performed in the seventh, eighth and ninth month of pregnancy.

Women have been the scapegoats for economic reform. It is time to pressure China to stop the one-child policy! Sign this petition to urge the human rights organization, Amnesty International to use its influence in stopping this deplorable persecution of females.
