All Dem Candidates Should Support Elizabeth Warren's Wealth Tax

Senator Elizabeth Warren's campaign is already making a progressive splash with her newly proposed wealth tax plan, the Ultra-Millionaire Tax.

In brief, households with a net worth of over $50 million would be taxed 2 percent on their total assets each year, with that number jumping to 3 percent for people worth over $1 billion. Over the span of a decade, the government would collect an additional $2.75 trillion.

No other developed nation has a wider wealth inequality gap, and it's time our tax system get some upgrades to address the wealth hoarded by the top 0.1 percent.

We sign this petition to express our support of Sen. Warren and her plan, while simultaneously encouraging the other Democratic presidential candidates to adopt this plan, as well.

Let's make this monumental and important change part of the Democratic platform for 2020.
