For many years wealthy people have been able to lobby members of parliament to pass laws that favour them. Most legislature has originated from bankers, business and large corporations. The Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) is latest of these. Corporations will be able to sue governments for loss of profits due to regulations that don't favour them.
The gap between the rich and the poor is growing and has been the worst for many years. Cut backs by the Abbott government is the latest nail in the coffin of social justice. People needing wheel chairs have to fight for them. A friend of mine was born with no legs below his knees. His struggle with mobility issues and social services has been ongoing most of his life.

There have numerous attempts to get large corporations to pay their fair share of tax but they usually fail. Most of the world's poverty could be solved with the payment of taxes by the very wealthy.This situation continues because of corruption of politicians by payments to political parties.
