Donald Trump just announced he will ban mail-in voting by executive order. And we've just announced our own executive order, telling him he can go to hell.
Trump has no constitutional authority to cancel vote-by-mail. States run elections, not dictators. And voting is a RIGHT. It should be as easy as possible to do, not something that requires an obstacle course beforehand.
Mail-in voting is safe, secure, and used by millions of seniors, veterans, working parents, and people with disabilities. Trump knows that — and he wants to take it away because he knows when more people vote, Republicans are more likely to lose.
This is pure voter suppression, and it's a direct threat to our democracy. Governors can fight this, courts can stop this, and the people can demand the rights they are guaranteed not be taken.
