Installation of speed humps to impede speeding motorists

My subdivision:Redan Station; is used as a cut through to
Memorial Drive. Many speeding motorists exit from Panola Rd. and come barrelling through Redan Station, onto Redan Trace:the main stretch , and continue on to the back of neighborhood: McCarter Station at estimated speeds of 40mph or more. I often have to basically get on the curb at walk alongside my neighbor’s yard to avoid being hit while walking the dog, or walking in general.
