Demand on a safe living enviornment

A home is our refuge, a place where we go to be safe and at peace, but that is not the case here. There has been at lease three shootings, one stabbing, and numerous violent fighting in the past month. How are we to allow our children to play outside or even allow them to go out of the house period with these things going on. There has even been people stealing vehicles and dumping them in the apartment parking lot. There has been damage to other residences' vehicles due to the shootings that have taken place.
We refuse to pay another dime to this apartment until the owner makes this a safer place to live. We need a security guard on site at all times to lower or prevent these crimes from happening on such a regular bases.
