Outrageous Eye Glass prices

I just ordered a new prescription filled and was shocked to find out that the total cost including the exam was $844.00!!! There is no excuse for these costs unless there is a monopoly or price-fixing is occurring.An investigation into this apparently unregulated industry should happen immediately.
