Save Bonnie Springs

History: The ranch was originally created in the 1840s, as a stopover for wagon trains heading to California. Bonnie McGaugh purchased the ranch in 1952, and it was subsequently named Bonnie Springs Ranch after her. Horseback riding, and a restaurant were added by the mid-1960s. Old Nevada, an 1880s western town replica, was opened at the ranch in 1974, followed by a zoo and a motel in the 1980s.

For many Vegas natives, Bonnie Springs is a staple of our child hood and holds dear memories. There has never been such a place in our town where wildlife and rescued animals are as well cared for and loved. Please don't let Bonnie Springs die. It is a part of Las Vegas and Nevada history and deserves to continue providing that old western, original Nevada experience.

Wow.. 2400 signatures and growing. There are many animals at the ranch that need to be rehomed. If you have the property and ability to do so, please reach out to the ranch and express interest. Many of the animals are rescued either from people who couldn’t care for them, or after injuries in the wild. I did read that the peacocks and wolf hybrids need homes. The wolf hybrids were taken in as pups and are friendly.

Thank you all for your support. It has been confirmed the land will be replaced with 20 residential properties. 😞 Keep signing just in case anything can be changed.
