Social Media is filled to the brim with misinformation.
Youtube channels such as Blaire White, a million subscriber channel, keep sending misinformation to our younger generations. (Proof here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-GRlXH0PVJc ) and this has heavily impacted our country and many other countries to the level of them spiraling into chaos because of said political and controversy level misinformation from various channels and social media accounts.
We as a community need to consider this solution: To have AI and Staff Members on social media platforms such as Youtube and Tiktok use the audio, descriptions, and titles to generate lists of good sources (videos and websites) in the description of the videos to show the public information that is fact checked instead of merely trusting emotions on social media similar to how X uses fact checkers below the posts on the platform. Action needs to be taken! Because the more we wait, the more misinformation spreads on sites such as Facebook, Youtube, Tiktok, Vimeo, and many others will impact our past, currrent, and many other generations to come.
