"A Pahrump woman is facing criminal charges after police say she wreaked bloody vengeance on a neighbor's puppy Sunday night.


Maria Furtado, 40, will be charged with animal cruelty, two counts of child abuse and neglect and petit larceny, the Nye County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday night." - Las Vegas Review Journal

8/13/2015: Defendant's next appearance is scheduled for Wednesday August 19th @ 9AM. This petition with accompanying signatures will be delivered to the Nye County District Attorney's office on August 18th.
