Prevent People From Buying Guns Through Newspaper Want Ads and Internet Sites!

Are you aware that there is a huge hole in the gun safety laws?  People can currently buy guns by way of their local newspapers without any kind of background checks or mental health checks or convicted felon checks.  There are also some internet sites that will also sell guns like this.  They do not sell through a licensed gun dealer and therefore they circumvent the current legal system.

Please sign my petition to close this hole and make it illegal to sell a gun though the wanted advertisements in the newspapers.  There are some people who should not be able to purchase a gun or own one and we need to close as many avenues to them as possible.  This will not affect anyone who goes through legal means to buy a gun but can help prevent guns from being sold to convicted felons, the mentally ill, and other people who cannot legally buy guns!
