Send the message to the rest of the world that we wont accept timber from the worlds natural forests. Set an example to the rest of the world to invest in managed tree farming for timber and leave the rainforests to have a chance at recovering before its too late.
We the undersigned want active measures taken to protect forests from further destruction. As well as habitat for wildlife and plant species, the disappearing rainforests of the world are having a huge impact on global warming.
The forests are like our planets own immune defence system. If they are protected and allowed to grow naturally again we have a much better chance of reversing the effects of global warming. Investment in research into this relationship to better understand and support it is a crucial step in saving the environment.
