Stop the Building of the Dakota Access Pipeline! Stand with Standing Rock!

The path of the Dakota Access Pipeline runs under the Missouri River and poses a threat to the drinking water supply of the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation. The path of the pipeline also runs through 82 cultural features and 27 graves. The building of this pipeline puts the lives of those who live near it in danger. The pipeline can explode or break; polluting air and water (a resource that is becoming scarce worldwide). Time is of the essence as things are escalating among the Protectors of the Water and the builders of the pipeline. The peaceful protesters have been pepper sprayed, bitten by dogs, sprayed by crop-dusters with unknown chemicals. This excessive use of force and violence is unlawful because the land that the Water Protectors are peacefully protesting on is Standing Rock Sioux land as decreed in the Tribe’s 1851 Treaty of Fort Laramie Territory. The Sioux are a sovereign nation and deserve to be respected. We as good citizens of the United States need to speak up against these abuses. Tell President Obama to stop civil right and law enforcement abuses. STOP THE BUILDING OF THE DAKOTA ACCESS PIPELINE. WATER IS LIFE!
