Stop Moansanto. Stop the insanity in Congress
Agribusiness has inserted language in the lastest version of the Farm Bill that will void all regulations for all GMOs. Monsanto has added what is called the "Monsanto Waver" to the 2013 Budget which allows them to wave off the FDA regulations.. Monsanto has also obtained growing permits in Mexico to grow GMO corn. Corn being a major part of the Mexican diet, will prove to be devistating to the Mexican and Mayan peoples.
These deregulations will give Monsanto complete power over the corn, soybeans, cotton, rice and others seeds they develope. They will control the seeds resistence to pesticides and herbicides possibly making them so resistent that they become delivery devices for poisens to our plates.
As more herbicides and pesticides are used to grow these crops, the soil will begin to fail. This type of farming will not be sustainable. And these GMO crops are advertised as better solutions to feed the world and meet the food shortages, they will only prove to increase the shortages. More people will starve.
