Demand for a crosswalk for safe crossing

On Saturday evening, April 27, 2019, 2 children ages 6 and 8 were hit by a car while crossing Yucca St.,
The section of Yucca is a wide road and dangerous for anyone to cross because there is no crosswalk and the lighting is poor, There are apartment buildings on both sides and has maybe 100+ kids living there total and they are always crossing the road to go back and forth to the apartments and it's very dangerous.
What I want and also the residents of both apartment buildings is for the City of Barstow to make it safe for anyone having to cross that street by putting in a crosswalk with a caution light, better lighting and speed bumps to make cars slow down when approaching the crosswalk.
