Demand to stop the ARRL Technician class upgrade

The ARRL is proposing to upgrade the Technician class Amateur Radio license class to extend HF operating privileges with out upgrading the Technician class license. It seems to me that the object is to further dumb down the Amateur Radio licensing and promote more sales of radio gear. I believe that the licensing exams are already to easy which promotes bad operating practice on the HF bands. The Amateur Radio hobby is a great pastime for the young and old, lets not turn it into another CB band. A little work makes the operator more technically challenged which will lead to a better class of operators on the bands.
