Facebook must take action against dangerous Republican lies

For years, Donald Trump pushed dangerous lies on Facebook before he was finally suspended (tell Facebook not to end that).

But Trump is far from the only Republican posting dangerous lies. A wide range of elected officials, candidates, and their media enablers have been spreading lies and breaking Facebook's own rules with impunity. Everything from the Big Lie about the 2020 election to a whole host of asinine but dangerous hoaxes. And all too often, Facebook has been slow to respond -- or done nothing about it at all.

It's time for Facebook to act.
