Demand for direct deposit of employee wages

I am concerned because wages which were due were held for 3 to four days due to hurricane Harvey and hurricane Irma and employees were delayed in paying their rent and had to set up arrangements to pay bills and unable to enjoy their holiday and or weekends twice in a row on the first of september and second on the 15th of september.
