End the use of racial identification in the media

I believe that the media feeds fear with the use of headlining violent or discriminating events with racial scapegoating. This classification distracts from the actual crime and divides the people. All crimes are person on person. I believe over time if we begin to associate hearing that a human had been hurt instead of a human labeled only by their race, gender, religion etc., we may be able to slow down the fear associated with racism. My hope is to retrain our way of looking at an ugly event and remebering that we are all people. Our lives are all of the same value and we should not be numb to injustices that do not aflict our own orientations.
