Pe should be a choice

As we know pe is a subject in school that we have to do for at least an hour a week. The subject doesn't have anything to do with ur gcse's unless u did choose it as an option. It is non negotiable. We need 3 core subjects for a job when we leave school, maths, science and English. Your probably thinking its not that bad and that we should stop complaining but it's basically a free lesson. Why would we do 1 hour of something that's not gonna get us anywhere in life every week when we can focus on our 3 main subjects and the options we chose. As we know it is the governments choice that we do pe once a week and teachers can not help that because they have to follow the rules. But why can't the people that want to do pe do pe and the people that don't want to do it don't do it. Ur probably thinking, if they don't do pe there gonna do nothing. Sit down and talk with there friends. I feel like that shouldn't happen but we should at least be allowed the choice to do revision or homework. At my school there's a choice in year 11 half way through year where u can do revision but I feel like that's not fair because there are some people that need that extra bit of work to get them where they are and get the levels they need to pass there exams.the whole reason why I have wrote this is to try and change it because I know there's people out there that don't like and there not comfortable with doing pe because they have to get changed in front of people they don't like and/or while there doing the lesson people laugh at them for not being as good as them at it
