On Oct. 05, 2018, Jesel Torres and Audri Dillar went for a night drive with Layla their dog like they do every night but what happen next destroy our family and friends. This Drunk Drive Mr. Colin Reaves RUIN the lives of these two young kids that were full of life and had a whole life ahead of them.
On that day this man Mr. Colin Reaves went to a company party then left the company drunk and got in his truck and started driving with no lights on in his truck on top of that he ran the red light hitting the car these two young kids were driving killing them and their dog on the scene and here it is 14 months later and Mr. Colin Reaves is still free.
We will keep fighting for what's right justice for Jesel & Audri and Layla. The families told me that the Maricopa County Attorney's Office would not be pursuing charges in this case also had allowed the DUI Statute of Limitations to expire. I feel like someone paid them off so that Mr. Colin Reaves the Drunk Driver get off easy. After talking to the family I know there are several things that were not right like letting criminal charges lapse, on accident. I am sure that it is not a common occurrence if the Offender was a minority. It is unbelievable that Mr. Colin Reaves the Drunk Driver will not be charged with a DUI or MANSLAUGHTER, and will not face any criminal charges for taking two lives. I have been on Social Media letting everyone on Social Media near and far about this case and how we want justice. The Arizona Laws are sending a true miscarriage of justice and also sending a message to those who drive drunk and take lives it's okay to do so !!!! WE WANT JUSTICE!!!!
It is with great angst that I write this letter concerning Jesel Torres and Audri Dillard two individuals killed 14 months ago by a Drunk Driver Mr. Colin Reaves. I know there is a section 28-772 of Arizona's right of way laws that shields drivers who are at fault, and in this case under the influence. 14 months and still two families are not having closure.
