In 'canned hunting' lions, both captured from the wild and specially bred, are put into an enclosure and when a 'fearless' hunter pays to shoot one (paying up to £60,000 for the privilege), are enticed out of the bushes with meat, so that the 'hunters', many of whom are drunk, can get an easy shot,or several shots in the case of the drinkers, before 'bagging' the lion. High powered bows and arrows are also allowed to be used. It is hoped that The Countryside Alliance will condemn such barbaric activities and expel anyone who partakes in them.
