Bring Trader Joe's to Northeast San Jose

We, the residents of the North/East San Jose area, including Berryessa, East Foothills, Alum Rock, and others, ask that you consider building a Trader Joe's grocery store in our area. On our Next Door app, many of us have agreed that this would be a great asset to the area. Many have shared that they have contacted your corporation and requested a location here but have been rebuffed. There is a rumor that you do not want to build in our area because of rumored low income or "undesirable ethnicity." We hope that is a false rumor. Sprouts has recently opened a store in our area and it appears to be doing a booming business with people of many different nationalities and ethnicities shopping there. After all, we all want access to healthy food! This petition is to show you just how much we want and would support a TJ's in our neighborhood.
