Please sign and share this petition in an effort to have this abusive, neglectful dog owner harshly punished for the horrid condition her house was found with dog carcasses right within her living area. It was foul odors from her place that led to the investigation.
The landlord of a woman from Pekin, Illinois called authorities when a foul odor was emitted from the ladies' residence. When authorities arrived on the scene, the discoveries were devastating and sad. Several dogs were found emaciated and deceased, apparently from being left alone without food or water probably for months. Police enforcement was able to pick up the renter, Regina Robards, 43 and arrest her. Currently her charges are only for misdemeanor charges for damages to the home and neglect of the animals although charges were escalated. She immediately post bond and is out of jail.
Officer Eeten stated that one of the dogs, a young mastiff was lying in plain sight when entering the home living room amidst piles of animal waste, and “It was extremely emaciated. The skin was already decomposing around the skull. It was a horrible sight.” There was more than one dead animal on the property that she abandoned after utilities were turned off for non-payment. She told the landlord she returned to the home regularly to care for the dogs but apparently never did and they died of starvation. Ms. Robards needs to be more severely punished for knowingly neglecting these animals which is clearly animal abuse and cruelty, not to mention the horrific conditions the home was left in where urine and feces was strewn throughout. Help in ensuring a severe punishment for her and be a voice for the dogs that lost their lives at her hands.
Pekin, Illinois Law Enforcement - This woman, Ms. Regina Robards, 43, needs to be more harshly punished for abandoning some dogs in her home with no utilities for months without food and water. The dogs were extremely emaciated, deceased and at the point of decomposing when you arrived to investigate. She was not only guilty of such horrific charges of animal neglect, abuse and cruelty, the home was destroyed as well with wall-to-wall feces and urine damage. Ensure this woman receives the harshest punishment allowed by law and further ban her from ever owning or "caring" for another animal for the rest of her life. She should be totally accountable since she even lied that she was providing for the animals when indeed she knew they were being left to starve and die!
