Help us get a assistant, Director

The Klein ISD Fine Arts Department has made the decision to remove the assistant director position from Klein Collins Tiger Belles Drill Team. It will be impossible for the director to operate our team without an assistant director/dance teacher, and we need your help to keep the Tiger Belles and dance classes together. Your decision will help our director and our dance program as a whole.
Since the end of the 21-22 school year, Klein Collins drill team (Tiger Belles) and dance classes have been on and off without a genuine assistant director and dance teacher. While some students found the replacement beneficial, majority of drill and dance students didn’t feel comfortable with the replacement given. Said-replacement has recently resigned from the district overall, so as of right now for the 23-24 school year, we (Klein Collins) have nothing. We do have our lovely Head Director and dance educator: Ms. Thompson, but dealing with 150+ students within the dance program is quite difficult.
Due to the high level of stress, a lot of the dance program will have to be cut for the next school year. Some areas effected are:
-Special Ed dance class
-Athletic Boys dance class
-Middle school dance
-Dance 3/4 (juniors & seniors)
For the Tiger Belles, there would be a high risk of having to combine Varsity and Junior Varsity teams for competition season, and potentially not being eligible for competing at the UDA competition.
Finally, with the 22-23 school year coming to an end, the 23-24 school year has already began as of May 10, 2023. We are already starting off the year with high stress and NO assistant director. The Klein Collins Tiger Belles and dance classes provide benefits to students by promoting self-esteem, motivation, and appreciation of diversity.
