Heathrow’s third runway”

Heathrow airport have long wanted to build a third runway... finally these plans are picking up momentum. This entails massive detriments to the surrounding urban and rural landscapes; is it actually worth that? It’s already very busy so why continue to expand in an already very busy location? This is quite a large step back for environmental awareness and the long term impacts are severe.
