On March 15, 2018, at the Rule Development Workshop, the Orange County School Board gained consensus to move to the Public Hearing with Option 3 for the Elementary School rezoning and Option 2 for the Middle School rezoning. The final vote on this decision will be held on Tuesday, April 24th.
The Options noted above will split up our Watermark community. We are asking that the School Board reconsider Option 1 or 2 for Elementary School and Option 1 for the Middle School which will keep or community together or that they Annex in the Lakeside and Esplanade neighborhoods of Watermark into Option 3 for Elementary Schools and Option 2 for Middle Schools which would add a total of 107 homes (Esplanade - 54; Lakeside - 53).
