horse died after his owner, a woman in Oregon, allegedly dragged him behind her pickup truck until he was too battered to survive.
Sign the petition to demand accountability, now!Domingo the horse didn't know what was going on when his owner pulled him out to her driveway and strapped him up to the back of her pickup truck. Apparently intoxicated, the woman is accused of dragging Domingo through asphalt, gravel, and grass.
He didn't have any horseshoes on his hooves to protect him. So veterinarians said his poor
hooves were "ground down into the flesh," leaving him in severe pain.
A neighbor says he watched the horrific abuse unfold, and heard the horse
"squealing" in terror and pain. He claims that after the woman realized she had a witness, she told him to "mind his business" while she continued to batter and abuse the innocent animal. Officers who interviewed the neighbor said that he "did not seem surprised" to learn that Domingo had died from his injuries.
This woman cannot be trusted with animals of any kind - not horses, nor indoor pets, nor any other type of animal. Authorities must keep helpless beings safe by banning her from animal ownership and mandating intensive mental health counseling. Sign the petition!
