Save Lamar Elementary, The Heart and Pride of San Felipe

There will be a school board meeting on February 18th, 2019 at 6PM at the administration building on Griner street. Their agenda is to vote to shut down Lamar Elementary. If this proposal goes through our children will be separated into three different school and have to transition all over again. Lamar elementary is made up of an amazing team beginning with Ms. Flores the school principal. The teachers and staff all know our children on personal levels and always make them feel welcome and at home. Lamar has great scores and offer our children all the help they need. Some families have generations that have attended Lamar. Not to mention the hometown feel of attending a school in a residential area, where children walk to and from school. If you have ever heard "Lamar/Pony Pride" then you know what it means. We do not want to lose the heart and pride of San Felipe and feel the school board can find another solution, they've known this has been an issue for years. Lamar community & Del Rio community help us come together as one and demand that the school board change the plan.
