To many times we hear about horrendous car crashes and/or deaths of children at the childrens bus stop. One incident that shows that that location is not safe for children needs to be reevaluated. The second incident the location needs to be changed. Too many time we here about children being killed because the location of the bus stop is in a unsafe place.
Any parent is afraid of getting the call that there child was injured or killed while walking to, from, or at a bus stop. Two incidents happened in one day. A high school student was killed walking to a bus stop and several children were injured in a fatal accident at a seperate bus stop.
We need the school board to reconsider where they have bus stops. For one: a busy main road is not the ideal place for a bus stop, two: a unlit road where children have to walk is not the ideal place for a bus stop. We need these bus stops to be in a safe place for our children. Please help me send the message that the bus stops for school children needs to taken in deeper consideration.
