Animal testing is not ethical and not necessary. We do not have the same genetic make-up as animals, so testing medicines or cosmetics on animals do not give accurate or safe results for humans.
At the start of the 21st Century, non-animal techniques have become the cutting edge of medical research. Animal experiments are being replaced by a range of alternative methods that frequently prove cheaper, quicker, more accurate and more effective - as well as saving lives.
Animal testing is no guarantee that a product is safe or will save a humans life, because an animals genetic make-up is different to ours. What can cure a monkey of cancer would kill a human.
Animal testing must be banned, for the safety of humans and animals!
