Stop Sen. Jim Inhofe’s Annual Pigeon Shoot!

  • por: Chris Wolverton
  • destinatário: Ryan Jackson, Inhofe’s Chief of Staff

The second weekend in September marked the third year of Senator Jim Inhofe's canned pigeon shoot fundraiser held in Oklahoma.

Steve Hindi, an animal rights advocate of Showing Animals Respect and Kindness (SHARK), has been protesting the shoot from the beginning. According to Hindi, the shoots violate state animal welfare codes, but authorities are unwilling to investigate them.

Video and photographic evidence shows birds that were shot and wounded, then left to die painfully after these canned hunts. Killing birds and leaving the wounded to suffer are cowardly, cruel acts that should not be encouraged or allowed.

Please sign the petition to urge a complete investigation of these pigeon shoots, and a ban on the practice if they violate state animal welfare codes.

I am shocked to hear about Senator Jim Inhofe's canned pigeon shoot fundraiser held in Oklahoma.

As you know, Steve Hindi, an animal rights advocate of Showing Animals Respect and Kindness (SHARK), has been protesting the shoot from the beginning.

I respectfully urge you to run a complete investigation of these pigeon shoots, and to end the practice if it's found to violate state animal welfare codes. Thank you for taking the time to read and consider this petition.
