End the luxury tax on menstrual products

Menstrual products like pads and tampons are essential items – yet in 22 states across the US, they are taxed as luxury goods.

This tax disproportionately affects women and girls and places additional burdens on them. These products must be made more affordable – and removing the sales tax is a good place to start.

Several states have taken action to remove luxury taxes from period products, but for the 22 states that still charge sales tax, we must urge them to do better.
