Jenny, a farmer from Pennsylvania was arrested for criminal trespassing for investigating illegal fracking waste dumping near her home. Ranjana, an academic from Texas was harassed for "holding out" and not signing a land lease when her entire community did.
And they aren't alone. These incidents seem like isolated events, but they are part of a larger strategy to intimidate movement leaders working against fracking’s harms.
