I am starting this petition to lift the ban on pitbulls in the UK as I believe this ban is unnecessary. Pitbulls are lovely dogs, and with the right training and care will be just as loving and sweet natured as any other breed. The reason pitbulls are banned is because they are thought to be vicious as they were sometimes bred for fighting. However they are not naturally aggressive at all. Pitbulls should be treated the same as any other breed. It is the owner who influences a dog's behaviour and temperament.
Please help me get this ban lifted so we are able to love and care for these beautiful dogs.
