Morgan Property Group came to Botetourt County 6/27/17 to discuss their proposal of rezoning the property on the corner of Rt. 779 (Catawba Rd) and Rt. 220 (Roanoke Rd) in order to make space for a Sheetz gas/convenience store! The residents that were made aware of the meeting and attended learned several concerns that were expressed (the proposed layout pictured here) :
1. Traffic and congestion that a Sheetz will add to this location
2. The safety concerns that are presented to the area itself and those residential homes and neighborhoods surrounding
3. The local businesses that a large corporation of this magnitude will be stepping on to make its presence
4. The concerns that a 24 hour operation brings to the area not to mention the eye sore visually to an otherwise beautiful rural area And the list goes on...
If you would like for Botetourt County board members to consider that this is not a "good" or "acceptable" fit for this location please sign this petition and pass it on!
