Keep Utah's Liquor Stores Open

We are opposed to the recent decision to close thirteen liquor stores in the state of Utah, unless liquor is to be made available for purchase in supermarkets.
We the undersigned are concerned about the recent decision to close 13 of Utah's liquor stores. As you likely know, these stores are responsible for more than $10 million in annual revenue for our state. This proposal saves approximately $2 million. How does this make economic sense?

Should you still feel it necessary to close said stores, we suggest you close all of Utah's liquor stores, and sell alcohol in grocery stores like other states successfully do. This will save the state funding currently being used for these liquor stores, while keeping liquor available for those who wish to purchase it.

The decision to close these 13 stores may also have an adverse effect on tourism, which will further diminish incoming revenue.

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter, and addressing these concerns.
